In this module, user was allowed to edit the different types of leave and the permission of some features in the system. In addition, the user can add a new leave type into the system.
Leave Type Maintenance
How to add new leave?
1. Click on Leave Type Maintenance.

2. There are nine leave types listed with the leave code, description, entitled, entitlement period, dispatch, taken, unused, last updated by who and the date.
3. Click on New.

List of Leaves
4. The details within the asterisk (*) must be filled such as leave type and leave code. User can also set the limitation into limited or unlimited.
5. Choose the entitlement period, the leaves taken, the dispatch type, the unused type and the unpaid leave.
Entitlement Period | Details |
Yearly 1 Jan to 31 Dec | This means that the leave will automatically refresh every year. |
Anniversary of Employee’s Join | The leave will only refresh on the date when the employee joins the company. |
Financial Year | This means that the leaves will only rollover after the company’s financial year. |
Leaves Taken | Details |
After probation period | The leaves will only applicable once the employee has passed the probationary period. User can decide and choose the duration of probation period in months. |
Immediately | The leaves will not need to wait for approval and will be processed immediately. |
Dispatch Type | Details |
Available Upfront | The entitled leaves can be taken immediately without any conditions. |
Accrued by Completed Months | Leaves will be prorated and gradually distributed to each staff every month. |
Unused Type | Details |
Carried Forward to Next Period | Staff can start taking leaves only after completing the specified months with the company. User can set the limitation of hold on months and the limit of days. |
Forfeited at the End of Period | All entitled leaves will be forfeited at the end of each year. |

Unpaid Leave | Details |
No Deduction Leave | An option that indicates that no salary would be deduct. |
Calendar Days Deduction | This signifies that the leave will result in a deduction based on the total number of the calendar days taken. |
Company Policy Deduction | Reflecting that the salary would be deducted aligns with the company’s predefined policy of days deduction. |

How to edit a leave?
1. Click on View.

3. User can only edit the unpaid leave as the info of the leave are set as default according to the Department of Labour.

6. There are the other 3 parts after clicking on the View which are Progressive Leave Entitlement, Entitlement User and Leave Taken.
a. Progressive Leave Entitlement
User may add a new leave entitlement.
1. Click on New.

2. User can enter the entitlement description level type, the days of leaves and the period type. The entitlement every year in the period type means that the leave will be entitled to the user every year and user can set the maximum of the additional leave. On the other hand, the days of leaves will increase by one day per year if year of service is chosen in period type. Click on Save once done.

3. User can still edit and update by clicking on Edit and delete it by clicking Delete.

b. Entitlement User
1. In this selection, user can assign user and edit the days of leaves. User can choose to assign by entering the Name, ID or contact number. User also can choose to assign by User Group, All Users or Administrator.

3. All the users will be displayed. User can still Adjust the days of leaves, Unassign the user from the leave and Revoke the user from taking the leave again. Tick the box to Adjust, Unassign or Revoke.

4. User can make leave adjustments by clicking on Adjust. Click on Save once done.

5. Tick the box of the user to Unassign. Click on Yes to confirm.

c. Leaves Taken
This selection will show the leaves that are taken by the user.

How to set approver and approve leave?
1. Click on User Group Listing.
Data > User Group Maintenance > User Group Listing

2. Click on View.

4. Click on Add Level. Click the checkbox to assign approver. Once completed, click Save.

5. Click Delete Level to delete the approver.

How to check leave and the history?
Data > User Listing > View > Assign Leave and History
1. User can Assign Leave, Unassign Leave, Revoke user and view Leave History in this selection. Click on Assign Leave.

5. The history of leaves applied will be displayed.
