What is Web Installation?
"Web Installation" generally refers to the process of setting up and deploying a web application, website, or web service. It involves various steps to ensure that the application or site is properly installed, configured, and ready for use on the web.
BBS LOCALHOST INSTALLATION
1. Locate windows feature by following the following path,
Control Panel > Programs>Turn Windows feature on or off>Window feature
2. Choose the features needed for installation by selecting the highlighted
features located on the pictures below. User can choose the features by
clicking on the checkbox.

3. After finished installing the features, a folder named “inetpub” will exist in
Local Disk C.

5. Delete all the folders and files inside wwwroot.

7. Select all the files and copy the files.

Picture 1.5 shows the folders copied from BBS LOCALHOST> WWW > BBS.
8. Paste the folders on Local Disk C > inetpub > wwwroot.

9. Go to BBS LOCALHOST and copy the 2 folders, which are Bin and
Crystalreportviewers13.

10. Paste and replace the same folders in inetpub.

11. Go to BBS LOCALHOST and install “urlrewrite2.exe”

12. Go to Windows Start Menu and search Internet Information Services (IIS)
Manager.

13. In IIS Manager, go to Application Pools from the SERVER dropdown on the
left column, then click on DefaultAppPool in the middle of the window and
select Advanced Settings on the right-hand side.

14. User must ensure that the “Enable 32-Bit Applications” from the General
section is True, and “Identity” from Process Model is LocalSystem in the
Advanced Settings. Then, press OK button.

How to change localhost IP
Then, open the file “publicvariable.js” using Notepad

2. Locate the term “var wcfurl” and change the IP address.

Install SQL express 2014
1. Double click SQLEXPRADV_x64_ENU.exe.
2. Wait for the component to extract.

3. Click New installation or add features to an existing installation.

4. Click I accept the license terms.
5. Click Next.

6. Select the features same as below.
7. Click Next.

8. Rename the Name instance.
9. Click Next.

11. Click Next.

1. If select mixed mode, enter password.
13. Click Next.

14. Click Next.

16. Click Close.

How to set up database.
1. Go to Windows Start Menu and search SQL Server 2014 Management
System.

3. Expand SERVER, then Databases.
4. Create 2 new databases, which are BBS and BBSWEB. User can right click
on the Databases folder and select “New Databases…”

5. Enter the Database name with “BBS” and press the OK button.
6. *Localhost need repeat the same steps with BBSWEB.

Restore database BBS and BBSWEB
1. In SQL Server 2014 Management System, right click on Databases folder
and select Restore Database…

2. Click on the device radio button and click the button on the right of the
bracket.

4. Click OK button and return to restore database window.(BBS6000.bak)

5. Under destination, toggle the dropdown and choose BBS, then press OK
button to restore the database.
6. Repeat the same for BBSWEB.
Download and installation
2. Click on the button on the bottom right to download Better Business
Solution (BBS).

3. After downloading the file, click on the bottom left to install the software or
locate the file in the download folder. (Google Chrome)

4. A window will show on the screen. Click on the “next” button.

5. After reading the license agreement, click on the “I agree” radio button and
click the “next” button.

6. User can choose the installation location by clicking the “Browse” button,
then click on the “next” button. User can also choose

7. Click on the “next” button to confirm the installation and install BBS.

8. After finished the installation, click the “Close” button

After Install BBS, need install Crystal Report
Server Setting
1. To start server setting, run BBS .exe. Click on the “Server Setting” button on
the top left.

2. A popup window will be displayed. There are 3 sections, which are Remote
Database Setting, Local Database setting and Terminal.

the server is from localhost. Otherwise, please refer to Green Matrix
Solution for the server URL.
Default Company ID is 1, if not, please refer to the company maintenance.
Lastly, Server Machine ID can be found at the bottom of mentioned server URL website.

4. For Local Database Setting, the Local Server IP is the IP address of the
client’s server.
Local Database is the name of the database used.
Lastly, User ID and password can be found in the client’s database. The
default User ID is sa and the password is BBS20101010!.

5. For Terminal, the default Terminal ID is 1.
